Anti-Racism Book Study

Please join the APC Anti-racism Team for its inaugural book study, beginning Tuesday, August 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the parlor, and continuing on August 16, 23 and 30.

Emmanuel Acho’s Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man is the book the team has chosen. If that name sounds familiar, it may be cause he is a former Philadelphia Eagles player (2013-2015) and is now an analyst for Fox Sports 1.

Paperback copies are $20 and can be delivered to the church. Please email Alice Price at amrprix@comcast.net to order a copy. E-books are available for $17. If you plan to purchase a copy yourself, please consider supporting a local bookstore, such as Uncle Bobbie’s in Germantown.

Even if you can’t attend all of the meetings, you are invited to attend those you can to add your voice to the discussion. All are welcome.

The study will be led by Alice Price, Nancy Lawrence Hill and Joanne Bates, with each session lasting one hour (with light refreshments). The first meeting focused on chapters 2, 4 and 5.
