The Youth Group at APC draws from nearly all area junior and high schools. That diversity is part of what makes it a special program as kids often maintain these friendships throughout their lives. Group chats among youth group kids long outlive graduation and college experiences.
The mission of the youth group is to offer opportunities to grow in love and faith as followers of Christ through learning, fellowship and service to all.
Like most other ministries at Abington, we highly value service and justice initiatives. We’re always looking for a project or group to support and you can often find us planning food drives or fundraisers to bring to our neighbors near and far. Activities include games of all kinds, mission work, lock-ins, retreats, discussions and more. If you’re looking for a community of faith to join with and be a part of, we would love to meet you!
Youth Group usually meets on Sunday afternoons at 4pm in the Youth Lounge (Rooms 72/74) on the lower level of the Parish House.
Summer Youth Programs
Each summer, our youth have opportunities to be part of experiences away from Abington. Our youth can spend a week either doing mission work close by or far away or attending a youth conference. Recent trips have taken our youth to Maine, Baltimore, Montreat and Appalachia.
Please contact the Youth Ministry Committee chair Sue Parsons or Associate Pastor Aaron Twitchell for additional information.
