How to find gratitude in every moment (but not for everything)
In a beautiful interview for the radio show/podcast “On Being” the Benedictine monk David Steindl-Rast reflects on the power of joy, “the happiness that doesn’t depend on what happens” and our deep connection to God and one another. https://onbeing.org/programs/david-steindl-rast-how-to-be-grateful-in-every-moment/

Music, poetry, and beauty in creation and the arts

Music at Abington (APC’s concert outreach series) is joining the online concert movement to connect with listeners. Our first program featured orchestra member and cellist Nick Hilliard joined by his father Peter Hilliard composer and pianist in a world premiere performance of a Cello Concert. St. Olaf College is hosting a “live stream” concert of works from their archives allowing listeners to share the experience and comment to one another about the program each Sunday afternoon at 4:30. In addition to the weekly streamed concert (in a wide variety of ensembles and styles) you can also watch recent/past concerts as well. https://wp.stolaf.edu/soundsfromstolaf

Poetry Unbound is a short season podcast hosted by Padraig O’Tuama reading and reflecting on poems from a wide variety of authors and styles: https://onbeing.org/series/poetry-unbound/

1807 & Friends is a local chamber music collective of professionals. During this period of social distancing two founding members Nancy Bean (violin/viola) and Lloyd Smith (cello) are sharing weekly live concerts (about 30 mintes) from their home every Monday 7:30pm by Facebook Live.
